CSFP and TEFAP Regulatory Update

In this July 26, 2016, webinar for state and local agencies administering the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), the Food Distribution Division’s policy branch staff outline the regulatory changes impacting CSFP and TEFAP in two recently released final rules: (1) Requirements for the Distribution and Control of Donated Foods and The Emergency Food Assistance Program: Implementation of the Agricultural Act of 2014, and (2) Federal Agency Final Regulations Implementing Executive Order 13559: Fundamental Principles and Policymaking Criteria for Partnerships With Faith-Based and Other Neighborhood Organizations.

Webinar: Professional Standards Training Tracker Tool 2.0 Enhancements

On June 6, 2018, USDA’s Team Nutrition staff presented new enhancements to the Professional Standards Training Tracker Tool, version 2.0!  Since the PSTTT 2.0 was first released in November 2017, Team Nutrition has been continuously working to incorporate feedback to enrich each user’s experience. This webinar showcased the new enhancements, such as a streamlined and seamless way of creating user profiles, selecting managers, assigning employees, and easily creating user profiles for a large number of employees at one time.

2016 Administrative Guidance for Sponsors

USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) administers the SFSP at the national and regional levels. Within each state, the Program is administered by the state department of education or an alternate state-designated agency. Locally, public or private non-profit organizations that want to “sponsor” the Program apply and are approved by the state agency to operate the Program.

This webinar is meant for state agencies and processors who operate USDA Foods in Schools programs. The webinar provides information on sales order receipting and the impact on the monthly performance report (MPR) as well as  information on inventory reconciliation at the national level and bond monitoring, covering the processor’s responsibility to monitor and to manage inbound orders and transfers, and providing an overview of state agency responsibilities and sweep procedures and tools for state reconciliation of MPRs.
