Waiver of 60-Day Reporting Requirements

FNS is granting a nationwide waiver of the 60-day reporting requirements to help minimize potential exposure to the novel coronavirus. Nationwide Waivers of Child Nutrition Monitoring

Nationwide Waiver of Local School Wellness Policy Triennial Assessments in the NSLP and SBP

FNS is establishing a nationwide waiver to support schools unable to complete a triennial assessment of the local school wellness policies by June 30, 2020, due to school closures as a result of COVID–19. This waiver applies to state agencies that have local educational agencies administering the National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program.

CN COVID-19 Meal Times Nationwide Waiver - Extension

Due to the exceptional circumstances of this public health emergency, USDA established a nationwide waiver to support access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure to the novel coronavirus. This waiver applies to the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and Child and Adult Care Food Program (the child nutrition programs). This waiver remains in effect through Aug. 31, 2020.

This waiver remains in effect until June 30, 2020.

Nationwide Waiver for Selected Child Nutrition Program Reporting Requirements

This waiver cancels selected administrative data reporting requirements in the child nutrition programs, specifically the following: Data Element 15, Part B of the FNS-10; FNS-640 Administrative Review Report Form; FNS-828 School Food Authority Paid Lunch Price Report; FNS-834 State Agency (NSLP/SNAP) Direct Certification Rate Data Element Report; FNS-874 Local Educational Agency Second Review of Applications; Ameliorative Action Plans for Verification Results; State Agency Food Safety Inspections Report; and Performance-Based Reimbursement (7 Cents) Quarterly Report.

PL 104-193: Changes to Applications for Waivers in the Child Nutrition Programs

PL 104-193, the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 made a number of changes to Section 12(1) of the National School Lunch Act which governs the waiver process in the child nutrition programs. This memorandum identifies the changes made by PL 104-193 and provides guidance to be used in developing and submitting waiver requests to the child nutrition division.
