Demystifying the USDA Foods Complaints Process Part 3: Results and Resolution

This webinar is Part 3 of our webinar series “Demystifying USDA Food Complaints.” It focuses on results and resolution in the USDA Foods complaint process for USDA Foods in schools. The USDA Foods Complaint Team, as represented by Tony Wilkins, presents different scenarios as USDA Foods are transported from the vendor to their final destination, school kitchens. The intended audience is individuals involved with the National School Lunch Program: SFAs and all Distributing Agencies and Recipient Agencies, including SDAs as well as schools and warehouses.

PART 254—Administration of the Food Distribution Program for Indian Households in Oklahoma

This part sets the requirement under which commodities (available under part 250 of this chapter) may be distributed to households residing in FNS service areas in Oklahoma. This part also sets the conditions for administration of the Food Distribution Program by eligible Oklahoma tribes determined capable by the Department.

PART 253—Administration of the Food Distribution Program for Households on Indian Reservations

This part describes the terms and conditions under which: commodities (available under part 250 of this chapter) may be distributed to households on or near all or any part of any Indian reservation, the program may be administered by capable Indian tribal organizations, and funds may be obtained from the Department for the costs incurred in administering the program. This part also provides for the concurrent operation of the Food Distribution Program and the Food Stamp Program on Indian reservations when such concurrent operation is requested by an ITO.

State of Origin for USDA Foods in Fiscal Year 2015

This report analyzes State-of-origin data for fiscal year (FY) 2015, which captures the States where USDA purchased food. In FY 2015, USDA purchased over 2 billion pounds of food, at a cost of nearly $2 billion. This included both raw food products such as meats, vegetables, and fruits; products used as ingredients in further processed foods; as well as finished food products like cereal, crackers, and pasta.
