USDA FNS Data Validation Service Information for Vendors and State System Owners

This webinar was produced by FNS to describe its Data Validation Service (DVS). The DVS is an optional validation service that checks school food authority (SFA)-level Verification Collection Report (FNS-742) records as the SFA submits its data to the state. In real time, the DVS returns error and warning messages back to the SFA through the state system. This webinar is an opportunity to learn more about connecting to the DVS through existing state platforms.

Planning for Successful Implementation of the Enhanced CSFP Food Package

In February 2019, USDA announced changes to the monthly food package that will be implemented beginning November 1, 2019. This webinar will focus on the new options and flexibilities within each category and provide guidance about how to plan for a successful transition. To help states and local sites adjust their inventory and orders to implement the changes on November 1, USDA will provide a demo of the recently released Food Package Ordering Tool.

Navigating the Food Buying Guide FBG Calculator

Learn about FBG Calculator, the new feature included with the Food Buying Guide for Child Nutrition Programs Interactive Web-Based Tool. The FBG Calculator is designed to create a shopping list to assist child nutrition program operators when ordering food for their programs. In this webinar, Team Nutrition also provided in-depth practice for using the calculator as well as highlighting the newly released training video. Participants can also experience the FBG Calculator on the FBG Mobile App. Program operators will be able to create and use their shopping list on-the-go.
