SNAP COVID-19 Emergency Allotments Guidance

USDA has issued guidance to states in implementing Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020 which provides for the issuance of emergency allotments (supplements) based on a public health emergency declaration by the Secretary of Health and Human Services under the Public Health Service Act related to an outbreak of COVID-19 when a state has also issued an emergency or disaster declaration.

Nationwide Waiver of Local School Wellness Policy Triennial Assessments in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs

FNS is establishing a nationwide waiver to support schools unable to complete a triennial assessment of the local school wellness policies by June 30, 2021, due to school closures as a result of COVID–19. This waiver applies to state agencies that have local educational agencies administering the National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program.
